COGAR Has Started New Homeland Security Contract in Puerto Rico

Puerto_RicoOn October 1, 2014, COGAR put “boots on the ground”, and began the first day of standing up the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service — Protective Security Officers Customs and Border Protection Facilities in Puerto Rico contract (Contract. # HSHQE2-14-D-00004). COGAR performs services at 16 CBP facilities with 26 posts spread out over 100 miles across the island.

Over 90 COGAR security personnel provide 24/7 guard services for the Department of Homeland Security Federal Protective Service. They perform access control services in the following U.S. Customs and Border Protection locations throughout Puerto Rico: San Juan, Fajardo, Ponce, Aguadilla, Ceiba and Mayaguez.
